Lata is the first face you see when you arrive with your child. Lata does everything behind the scenes to ensure the centre and staff are able to provide the best care for each child.

Maria To’omata
- (Teaching Supervisor, Qualified Teacher / Educator)
Qualifications: Diploma of Teaching in Early Childhood Education, Fully Registered Teacher.
Maria is of proud Tokelauan descent. Her interest in becoming an Early Childhood Educator began when her children were younger and all attended Mataliki Tokelau Akoga Kamata during it’s humble beginnings.
Maria’s ability to relate to young children and cater to their learning needs requires a quality which she instinctively possesses.

Lesitala Olepa Carter

Qualifications: Bachelor of Education Degree, Fully Registered Teacher.
Lesitala Olepa Carter is married with four children and is of proud Samoan descent. The reason she undertook Early Childhood Education is her children attended Mataliki. She may not have considered a career in Early Childhood Education otherwise.
She is currently studying to gain the Bachelor of Education Degree. Lesitala is an inspiration to all Pasifika Educators in the Early Childhood sector as she has added another Pasifika Language (Tokelau) to her multicultural status.

Estella Vavega

Qualifications: Graduating with a Diploma of Teaching in Early Childhood Education.

Eketi Tyrell Sili

Eketi is our only male staff member and is working toward a diploma and degree in ECE Pasifika. Eketi is going to commence studying this year at the University of Auckland to gain his qualifications
